Human Settlements works to decrease poverty and improve health and housing conditions in the urban centers of Latin America, Asia and Africa and those developing countries. It combines this with promoting good governance and more ecologically sustainable patterns of urban development.
The Global Human Settlements Forum was held in September. I made a presentation about conserving water. I also got to hear many thought provoking presentations on how to improve human settlements made by professors and environmental authorities. Through this I learned that, we, humans need to start promoting sustainable and innovative human settlements today in order to have a brighter future tomorrow.
